  | In a contest before the prefect, Simon puts a boy to death magically. Peter commands the boy's father to take his hand, and he comes to life. Peter also prays that the son of a woman be raised to life, and he is. Peter says "You men of Rome, seeing that I too am one of you, wearing human flesh, and a sinner, but have obtained mercy, do not look at me, as though by my own power I were doing what I do; (the power is) my Lord Jesus Christ's, who is the judge of the living
