Are you familiar with Eric Eve, The Jewish Context of Jesus' Miracles, Andy M. Reiner, Miracle and Magic (both JSNTSS)? There are fairly recent books on Magic in the Roman world by Naomi Janowitz and Matthew W. Dickie, and a sourcebook by Wendy Cotter (all Routledge). I take it that you are familiar with the work of Graham H. Twelftree. Do you know my article on "The Jesus of Mark's Gospel" in Jesus Then & Now, ed. Marvin Meyer and Charles Hughes (Harrisburg, Pa.: Trinity Press International, 2001), 26-53? I don't know whether the book is published in Britain. I am sorry that I cannot be of more help right now.
